This is an unofficial site dedicated to NHS staff to help understand net take home pay after Tax, National Insurance and Pension Contributions are deducted.
@voteforhani Also if your salary was just £1,420 less a year you'd pay 7.1% pension contributions vs 9.3%. Meaning you pay an extra £621 a year for pension. really unfair !! https://t.co/TAShk296nW

Many will have received a nasty brown envelope from @nhs_pensions this week. If you have (and even if you haven't) you may need to take action. Pay attention and share (please RT) with colleagues who may need this!
National Insurance impact on NHS pay shown on new NI page. For example a B2 on 1st paypoint will be just under £40 better off whilst highest paid exec will be £100's better off. Source: https://t.co/Z87qR2rprN #EnoughlsEnough#nhspay#NHSPayRise#minibudget2022
Absolutely heartbroken for my colleagues who are taking home less pay due to the pay rise. All the hard work they do and for what ? We are going to see a huge rise in demand for food banks #NHSPayRise
@NAJ562 Agree about outsourcing taking away nhs funds but what about doctors who can do 20 cataracts a day in a private facility then refuse to do 3 in an afternoon for nhs. Unfortunately this happens.
The NHS net pay has been updated to calculate net pay after the National Insurance contribution returns back to 12%: https://t.co/Z87qR2rprN #minibudget2022#EnoughIsEnough#NHSPAY

@CliveFlint@karenswiss@Lucy_cat_lady They would be better off financially if they had a week off unpaid. This would put them in the lower pension bracket.
The fact that some NHS nurses aren’t only LOSING pay this month due to a tiny pay rise that’s put them into a higher pension contrib. rate but now OWE money due to it being backdated to April while mp’s get 2.5k increase & are off work yet again sums up all that’s wrong in the UK
💙 NHS Ambulance Workers joining @GMBLondonRegion today, to have their say on their pay!
Morale is low and demand is high, get involved in the fight for pay justice and get organised to demand better 💪
**The ‘PAY AWARD’ will be backdated to 1st April 22 and due to this your pay for September could be around £200 LESS **
‘Pay award’ = less take home
Disappointed to be greeted by this letter when I arrived home after my 39 hour NHS shift of work/on call. #nhs#nhspay#NHSPayCut
