It's strange how the turn-based RPG is just about the only subgenre targeted for complete eradication of the concept in modern gaming. Some people don't like FPS or sports games, should they be erased too?

Apparently any gameplay that isn't flashy, in your face action is considered "outdated" because it doesn't appeal to the ever-declining attention span. If you personally don't like turn-based games that's your preference, but it shouldn't mean there's no longer a place for them in games.

Some of the greatest RPGs of all time are turn-based & their quality doesn't change just because some lack the "patience" to play them.

I also have no issue with a random nobody set in the timeline &it being his story during the events. but you still have to HAVE the canon events even if you dont show them specifically, but allude to it

@Wahoolet @Marierosebanana Yeah, i like how it looks like he's walking through a wall of fire in the original, to the point he would have burned to a crisp and disappears as the fire completely covers him, but in the remake you still see his ass the whole time and the fires dont look as strong.
