It’s really annoying seeing the narrative that starts with
“I don’t understand why the nets did draft Acuff.”
You don’t have to agree with the choice but it’s pretty obvious why the choice was made.
@BillsnKnicks@tankathon We have more than 20M going into free agency to bring in experienced players.
Maybe we make mistakes as a result of being younger but the players that will play for Brooklyn are on par at the very least talent wise.
@hollywood26_@BillsnKnicks@tankathon It’s what we have in addition a projection of the cap space remaining.
I figure we’re going to offer sheet a couple high level RFAs (Duran/Kessler) and if that doesn’t go anywhere we’ll bring in good pieces because it’s rather hard to blow 20 million without getting better.
@BillsnKnicks@tankathon This is the team I feel like we can perform very similarly too.
If we do a 56% win percentage is all we need to make lower value.
@BillsnKnicks@tankathon You’re a Knick fan. You’ve watched Randle be the best player on a 40ish win team before.
Randle isn’t our first option. I’m fully confident we will be in the 40-48 win range and our pick will be within 5-7 spots of the rockets.
Mikel Brown Jr. told me he’s met with the Nets three times:
“I’ve definitely built a relationship there. Talking constantly with Mr. Marks and Coach Jordi. The biggest thing [Marks] emphasized if I get selected there is building that relationship with Jordi. You gotta have a great connection there. So to be able to pick his brain on a lot of things and learn his system and come in and make an impact right away was big.”
Seeing the nets in mock trades is amusing if you analyze it for too long.
They’ll be the third team facilitating the trade and give up MPJ #6 and four future first for Jaylen Brown for some reason.
