We continue to work in partnership with the Mi’kmaw Conservation Group (@Netukulimk), the commercial fishery and @AcadiaU to monitor fish passage at the Windsor causeway.
@NSAgriculture@Netukulimk @MikmaqRights The area was exposed after the lowering of the reservoir which has improved fish passage through the existing tidal gates.
Last week DFO staff were in Windsor #NS with @NSAgriculture and The Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq (@Netukulimk) to collaboratively plant seeds provided by KMKNO (@MikmaqRights) in the Avon River area to stabilize the soil and help reduce dust.
