This Friday 15/11, our Autism through an Autistic Lens exhibit opens at the @Tolbooth gallery in Stirling, showcasing artwork and photography by autistic adults who participated in my research. The exhibit will be on until the 31st of December and the venue is fully accessible.
It was really lovely to finally meet Emily in person at #Museums2024!
Speaking to (and with) so many people about neurodivergence within museums (both visitors and the workforce) was a really wonderful highlight from this year's conference. I can't wait to continue the convos!

As we conclude #AutismAcceptanceWeek, I have been reflecting on the @NeuroMuseum 's inaugural conference #NDMuseums24
It's evident that embracing neurodiversity, not only enriches our collective experience but, is crucial for creating truly inclusive museum spaces.
That's a wrap!
I had a brilliant time attending &speaking at @NeuroMuseum's inaugural conference. It was wonderful to hear about all the wonderful practice going on, about the plans for Neurodiverse Museum &to share about my research.
Happy to answer lingering Qs

Justine highlights that many of the decisions you can make, adjustments that can be made and access-enabling tools don't cost a lot - but have a huge benefit to everyone
#NDMuseums24
@NeuroMuseum principles create a clear framework for action. And this slide makes it clear that we are all in a journey and there are things we can do. #NDMuseums24
@NeuroMuseum "It means that people don't need to disclose their diagnosis to be able to access what they need"
@NeuroMuseum's Justine highlights the importance of creating an environment where people can access what they need without being forced to "prove" their need for it.
