Back from an inspiring #SIGIR2025 in Padova — and diving straight into final preparations for #ICDCS2025 in Glasgow. Workshops and tutorials kick off tomorrow!
Our very own @YashMosh is currently giving his lecture on NeuraSearch: Brain Machine Interfaces🧠 & Information Retrieval🔍, at the 16th at the 16th European Summer School on Information Retrieval (ELLIS ESSIR 2025).
On Wednesday, July 9th, our group head @YashMosh , PhD student @McguireNiall, and fellow PC member Anirban Chakraborty lead the 13th FDIA (Symposium on Future Directions in Information Access) at the 16th ELLIS ESSIR Summer School.
@YashMosh and PhD Candidate @McguireNiall will be travelling to beautiful Padua, Italy, to attend and present at #SIGIR2025 sigir-2025.
You can catch @McguireNiall's presentation Towards Brain Passage Retrieval on Monday, the 14th of July, during Humans & Interfaces
Listening to a fascinating presentation by @YashMosh on the opportunities brain interfaces present to IR research and applications; it’s a topic Yashar has been developing into a vision for a over a decade now #sigir2025
As well as our very own @YashMosh and @McguireNiall's presentations! Whose papers you can now find within the SIGIR'25 proceedings: - https://t.co/BPei5UMWiR
And that's a wrap! @SIGIRConf#SIGIR2025 has officially ended, and what an amazing few days it has been, from Stephen Robertson's fantastic opening keynote to the stunning banquette venue.
This afternoon from 14:00 - 15:30 in the Perspective 2 Session located in the Petrarca hall, @YashMosh will be presenting his Perspective on the use of Brain Machine Interfaces within Information Retrieval🧠🔍.
Our group PI @YashMosh is currently attending @acm_chi 2025 in Yokohama presenting his joint work with @McguireNiall on Pilot Error Classification Using NeuroPhysiological Measures! - You can find him North 1F - LBW - 225 if you'd like to know more!
NeuraSearch Laboratory is thrilled to be part of the University of Strathclyde Neurotechnology Centre launch! 🚀 Great talks so far from Prof Tim Denison and Daniel Palanker. A big step forward for AI-driven innovation in neuroscience!

🚨Very happy to say that our full paper (\w @YashMosh) titled "Towards Brain Passage Retrieval: An Investigation of EEG Query Representations' has been accepted as a full paper for #SIGIR2025
You can find the preprint here (https://t.co/TWAv9e5py9)

The second paper, “Brain-Machine Interfaces & Information Retrieval Challenges and Opportunities”, a perspective paper authored by @YashMosh and @McguireNiall , presents an inspiring vision for the future integration of Brain-Machine Interface (BMI) technologies in IR.
We are thrilled to announce that our research group has had two papers accepted for presentation at the 48th International ACM SIGIR Conference on Research and Development in Information Retrieval (@SIGIRConf ) in Padua, Italy! 🎉
BCI Research Awards - Part 1/3
A couple of weeks ago, a comprehensive summary of the 2023 brain-computer interface (BCI) Research Awards was released as a chapter in the SpringerBriefs in Electrical and Computer Engineering book series.
The Brain-Computer Interface (#BCI, #BMI) 🧠 community has been abuzz thanks to this ground-breaking research from @AIatMeta and BCBL on decoding text directly from brain signals. We're highlighting the key aspects of this paper for those who haven't had the time to read it yet.
