A review in PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases summarises recent advances in diagnosis, treatment, and control of NCC, a major cause of epilepsy worldwide.

As neurocysticercosis is a leading cause of epilepsy globally, the Neurosolve Project team was invited to give three oral platform presentations and to realise one poster at the 5th African Epilepsy Congress, held from the 16th to 18th of May 2025 in Lusaka, Zambia

The Zambian NeuroSolve Principal Investigator, Evans K. Mwape, gave a presentation at the 2025 Veterinary Association of Zambia Annual Scientific Conference, highlighting the importance of a One Health approach, as in the NeuroSolve project, to control tapeworm.

Dr Mashina Chomba, a Zambian Neurologist and PhD student on the NeuroSolve project, gave a podium oral presentation on the ongoing NCC work in Zambia, including the NeuroSolve project, at the 2025 American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Annual Meeting in San Diego, California.
