I love the focus on health care disparities in this year's #AANAM. This is incredibly important, and every neurologist should be working towards health equity.

@Neurology_JC the authors state in the limitations a lack of primary care data, so other 'moderate' (?) infections that affected QoL but did not necessitate hospitalization would not have been possible to observe-- but important clinically nonetheless #NeuroJC
@Neurology_JC i think obv some measurement bias is possible given we're looking at 'infection as cause of hospitalization' as the main outcome..idk whether this is differential enough across groups to cause bias #NeuroJC
@Neurology_JC@EpiEllie in case ppl wanna read more about trial emulation, it's an epi method that hasn't quite yet reached the clinical sphere (at least in #neurology) #NeuroJC https://t.co/Iu8khmRHwf
@Neurology_JC as y'all read, the authors did this to mitigate potential immortal time bias, so i'll just drop this here in case anyone wants a refresher #NeuroJC https://t.co/bSsyD29ApQ
@NurielMoghavem @Neurology_JC i was thinking of the same thing too, and in US, SES would affect treatment i'm sure as well as MS diagnosis .. in Sweden, i have no idea tbh #NeuroJC
