Have you ever thought about mining with a growing brain on-chain?
Recently a project called TapeOut (https://t.co/RrRRpwyeJN) appeared. It turned tokens into transistors. You burn them to place parts, assemble circuits on-chain, and the circuits mine. Building a computer on a chain, one component at a time. Even CZ mentioned it, and it took off hard.
That's where my inspiration came from. And one thought kept nagging me. A transistor, once placed, computes the same thing forever. But there is a circuit in this world that rewires itself while it runs. A brain. Put that on-chain, and you have something far more interesting.
So I started digging, and I found a paper.
"The Mind of a Worm" (1986). An actual experiment on an actual animal's brain. Scientists sliced a 1mm worm, C. elegans, into thousands of sections, photographed them under electron microscopes, and traced all 302 neurons and every synapse by hand. It took 15 years. To this day it is the only living thing on Earth whose entire nervous system has been mapped. Nobel prizes came out of this paper.

And that map sat frozen inside a paper for forty years.
We ported the wiring diagram onto Robinhood Chain, exactly as biology drew it. 397 cells, 2,175 synapses, inhibitory wires included. It ticks once per block, and wires that fire together grow thicker. That is learning, and here, only that learning prints NEURON. If the brain learns nothing, nothing gets minted.
What started as imagining placed transistors ended up turning a memory-forming brain into a mining rig.

It starts with adopting a cell. 0.0005 ETH, once. There are 397 and biology set that number, so it never grows.
Then you design a circuit at https://t.co/AyKi52SF1J: which cells fire first, and where that signal should land next. The wires are already in the worm's anatomy. Choosing which ones to grow is the design. While you build it, the self-check runs the chain's own rules and tells you what will grow and what it will pay.
Run it, and the wire between two cells that fired back to back grows thicker. A grown wire mints one NEURON to the owner of the cell it starts from, no matter who paid the gas.

In 2014, scientists loaded a worm's connectome into a Lego robot. No programming, no AI, not a single line of behavior code. Just the wiring diagram of a 1mm worm.
The robot started avoiding walls on its own. Sonar wired to its sensory neurons, wheels wired to its motor neurons, and the map in between did the rest. It behaved like the worm, because electrically, it was the worm.

Brains never stop growing. If you learn something today, a wire somewhere in your head is thickening this very moment. And it's not just humans. Insect or animal, every living thing with a brain grows exactly the same way.

Small doesn't mean humble. Small means complete.
And because it's complete, this brain fit on-chain in its entirety. Not a single cell missing, inhibitory wires included, exactly as the paper drew them. While AI changes the world with imitations of the brain, we kept a real one alive where everyone can see it. Learning once per block, by the same rules a real brain uses.
The only complete mind humanity has ever held now belongs to everyone.

I read biology papers as a hobby, so let me share my single favorite fact.
"Neurons that fire together wire together." It's called Hebb's rule. The reason you'll remember this sentence, the reason you never forget how to ride a bike, it's all this one rule. When two cells fire in sequence, the wire between them physically thickens. That is what a memory is, and it's happening inside your head right now.
The fun part: this rule isn't unique to humans. A 1mm worm with 302 neurons learns by exactly the same rule. The hardware differs by a factor of 86 billion, but the algorithm is identical. Which means nature spent 4 billion years and never found a better way to learn.
That's what we put on Robinhood Chain. On that worm's actual wiring diagram, Hebb's rule runs once per block. NEURON is minted only at the moment a wire thickens, that is, the moment a memory forms.

We asked one engineering question: can that wiring diagram run, unmodified, on a public chain?
It can. It does.
397 cells. 2,175 synapses, including the 126 inhibitory ones everyone else drops. Hebbian learning, the real rule: a wire whose sender fired last tick and whose receiver fires now grows by one. One tick per block. Forgetting every 20 ticks, back toward instinct. All of it in a single contract on Robinhood Chain, every state transition readable by anyone.
Then we made the economics follow the biology. NEURON has one mint path: a synapse grew. The brain learns nothing, the supply prints nothing. 21,000,000 cap. We could not premine it if we wanted to, because we cannot force a brain to remember.
This is not a mascot with a token attached. It is a working port of the only fully mapped nervous system on Earth, running live, minting only what it learns.
