It was an honor to talk with Nab Dasgupta and Brandie about this collaboration. Basic science can sometimes feel far removed in the day-to-day from the lives the research impacts. Conversations like these remind me how much science--and access to science--matters.
ORT sat down with recent MacArthur fellow @nabarund and Director of the Chemistry Mass Spec Core @BrandieEhrmann to chat about the role of the core facility in Dasgupta's life-saving work on the opioid epidemic! Honored to tell this part of the story. https://t.co/j2TpWjGcRH.

@CashApp Very frustrating trying to access past tax returns filed through Credit Karma/CashApp. Submitting the form with my name/e-mail results in an error and trying to send a code to my phone never results in a text message. Both issues persist over multiple browsers. Help?!

@RVAwonk So...as a pregnant person (vaxxed and boosted, but the last booster was 6 months ago) who just contracted Covid (the joys of having a kid in preschool) what's the take away here. There's just no way to avoid it if you have a kid in daycare/preschool where masks are being dropped.
The fact that doctor's aren't the ones able to decide if a patient's life is "in danger enough" to warrant an abortion during a medical emergency is absolutely ridiculous and terrifying. States to never travel to or live in while pregnant for 100, Alex. https://t.co/yXYtR3ry4h
Vaccination against smallpox was halted in 1980- it was a very effective vaccine against smallpox and also offered 85% protection against monkeypox. Monkeypox virus infection was predicted to increase as smallpox vaccine protection drops in the human population globally.
@FishCsCells Not only delay vaccinations, but sit on a vaccine you would otherwise approve because there might be another one coming out a month later?! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

@FishCsCells I like everyone pointing to the CDC saying we're now "low risk" without acknowledging they moved the metrics to make us "low risk."
