Intensive work has begun on Neurosynth v2 (or is it v3?), in collaboration with @talyarkoni @russpoldrack @jbpoline @ten_photos @phyzang and others. This will be a radical overhaul of the framework that brings flexible image-based meta-analyses to a browser near you soon (2020?)
