Currently worshipping at Redeemed Gospel Church, Kithimani, alongside the Wiper Patriotic Front Party Leader H.E Kalonzo Musyoka and fellow faithful.
It is a blessed Sunday to come together in worship, thanksgiving and fellowship, seeking God’s guidance and grace as we continue serving our people.
Protecting Livestock, Safeguarding Farmers' Livelihoods.
Officially launched the countywide Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) e-voucher vaccination exercise at Kiteng'ei in Kaliluni, Upper Kaewa Ward.
The programme targets 203,517 animals across Machakos County and is being spearheaded by community-based Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), supported by 55 locally recruited data assistants and 78 Animal Health Assistants. So far, 28,935 animals have been vaccinated, reaching 4,522 farmers across the County.
The exercise will help curb the spread of FMD, promote healthier livestock and safeguard farmers’ livelihoods by improving productivity and reducing preventable losses. Healthy livestock means stronger livelihoods and a more productive Machakos.
Chakula Mezani, Pesa Mfukoni!
Access to reliable water is essential for healthy and thriving communities.
The opening of the solarised Kitengei Borehole will provide clean and reliable water to approximately 9,500 residents in Kitundu Village, as well as Kitengei Primary School, AIC Kitengei Church and the wider Kitengei community.
Expanding access to water remains a key priority as we work to ease the challenges faced by households and institutions while improving the quality of life for our people.
Concluded my development tour in Kangundo East Ward with a public engagement forum at Kwa Nduu, where I had the opportunity to interact with residents, listen to their views, and update them on the progress of development projects my administration is implementing across the ward.
My commitment remains to serve the people of Machakos by delivering development that responds to their needs and aspirations, guided by our vision of Chakula Mezani, Pesa Mfukoni.
Commissioned the grading and murraming of the Kawethei–Kwa Ngutu Residence–Mbusyani Junction Road in Kawethei Sub-location.
The upgraded road will improve mobility, ease the transportation of farm produce and other goods, and enhance access to schools, health facilities, markets, and homes. Through continued investment in road infrastructure, we are opening up our communities to greater economic opportunities while improving the quality of life for our residents.
The Kwa Katiwa Earth Dam Value Addition Project in Kithongoni Sub-Location, Kangundo West Ward, is transforming lives by creating new economic opportunities for local residents. Today, we stocked the dam with additional fish fingerlings to enhance fish production, strengthen aquaculture, and create more sustainable sources of food and income for the local community.
This is in addition to the farming activities already being practiced, with residents growing and selling crops such as tomatoes, sukuma wiki, spinach, bananas, sugarcane, and sweet potatoes, among others. As the county government, we have supported these efforts by providing seeds, seedlings, and planting vines.
The earth dam is also providing reliable water for domestic use and livestock, improving livelihoods and supporting the local economy. This is not just an investment in a water resource but the perfect foundation for the realization of Chakula Mezani, Pesa Mfukoni in Machakos.
