Twas the Night Before Christmas

’Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the chain,
Not a mempool was stirring, not even a strain.
The nodes were all syncing, disks humming just right,
In hopes that a new block would land late that night.

The plebs were nestled, keys held with care,
Cold wallets secured, seed phrases nowhere.
When out on the network there rose such a cheer!
A block had been found, decentralization was near.

No cloud, no middleman, no trust left to lend,
Just rules and raw hashes from end to end.
Then what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a Solo Node humming, quiet and clear.

It spoke not a word, just verified fast,
Checked every transaction, future and past.
And I heard it exclaim, as the hash rate took flight:
“Your node. Your rules. And to all, a good night.”
