We are a web design and development company based in Kent and have extensive experience building websites and web-based applications using Umbraco and .NET.
After 11 years freelancing solo, I hired my first employee.
The costs, the contracts, the paid trial days, the mental shift from freelancer to manager - an honest write-up of what's actually involved in making that leap.

This week marked two years since Aleks started his journey with us as an Umbraco and .NET developer. In those two years, we've seen him grow into a skilled, dedicated developer who puts 100% effort into everything he does.
Well done Aleks โ here's to many more! ๐
We are proud to announce that our shared web hosting is now powered by renewable energy, provided by a hosting partner verified by the Green Web Foundation. In addition, our office runs primarily on solar power, reinforcing our commitment to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
It was made even harder by clashes in unique IDs as one of the Umbraco 7 sites was originally cloned from the other!
In all, we managed to migrate several thousand media and content items!

We've been busy the last few months helping another agency migrate two Umbraco 7 sites into a single Umbraco 13 instance.
This involved migrating Grid Layout to Block Grid, macros to blocks, mapping data and creating a migration solution based on processing uSync files.

This weekend, we migrated the Commodious website (https://t.co/uCEcQrByTQ) from Umbraco 7 to Umbraco 13.
We had to migrate the code to .NET 8 and the e-commerce functionality and data from Merchello to Umbraco Commerce.

Whilst some code migrated quite easily, there was a lot of code that needed to be rewritten.
Thankfully it all went to plan this weekend and the client now has an updated website running on the latest version of Umbraco and .NET.
We are excited to announce that as of today, we've officially become an Umbraco Silver Partner! After 10 years of working with @umbraco, this reflects our ongoing commitment and dedication to the best open-source CMS!

We've been working on a new site for a client using Vendr for the first time. Just putting a proof of concept together but it's looking good so far. It's been really easy to pick up and get started using the demo store.
Thanks for the hard work @heyvendr! #umbraco#ecommerce
