@jeffbatesx If the MLBPA did anything other than advocate for trash old players to make more money they would have more public support. A floor only raises salaries for trash players.
This is a GREAT pick with amazing value at No. 92 for the Mets.
In 60 games this season, the Texas outfielder totaled 79 hits with 24 HRs(10th-most in the nation) while totaling 64 RBIs.
His slash line: .333/.426/1.122
@PelayoSecundus@SNY_Mets Let Carlos start fresh next year. Green is the type of guy that can get through this miserable year and go into the background next year.
@PelayoSecundus@ktbkendrick2@SNY_Mets J.D. Martinez carried them to success in 2024 in the clubhouse. A rare Stearns good move even if J.D. was shot toward the end with the bat.
@Masterflip_ Insurance companies are a bunch of mizers. Garbage companies that never want to pay or cover. Approve all these players for the WBC, this is the baseball world cup. Prioritize it above all.
@KickinitwitKeef This is part of the problem with the accountants running MLB front offices today. They'll pay an injured .260 hitter in Kyle Tucker crazy dollars but won't pay Luis Arraez or Eugenio Suarez a 4th of that in annual salary.
@_MoneyMolina@SleeperMets They are not going to give up more draft picks and intl bonus $$$. I get not obsessing over prospects, but you need to refill the farm enough to use or trade.
@TalkinMetsNoG I'm not a big Stearns fan. I agree there roster needed major changes but I'm not on board with all the players brought in. Robert Jr and Williams I have zero faith in. Polanco at 1st makes no sense. It went from awful off-season to we'll see.
@Masterflip_ Swap Alonso for Polanco and Robert Jr. That would be an A offseason. I hate losing Diaz and he's better for the modern game but based on how the team is built this would be the best combo.
