Unsurprising hypocrisy: In 2019, Doug Ford said that he was the “only premier in history that refuses to use the premier's plane - the King Air - that costs the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.”

By 2025, at least two-thirds of Ford's flights were private. And, of course, the PC government attempted to spend $28.9 million in taxpayer dollars on a personal jet for him this year - a deal that ultimately wasted $200,000 when it collapsed.

Big news just broke in the Ontario legislature: Caroline Mulroney has officially resigned from Doug Ford’s cabinet and from her role as the PC MPP for York-Simcoe.

This means that York-Simcoe, in addition to Scarborough Southwest, is now vacant and awaiting a by-election.

The Ford PCs like to say they are fiscally responsible. In reality, Ontario’s net debt has skyrocketed by $121 billion, corporate welfare has increased by 182%, and 40% of new job growth has been in the public sector since they took office.

The Ontario PCs have continued to govern like the terrible McGuinty-Wynne Liberals before them.
