We tried something different during our fifth Sunday Family Gathering and sought to lower the sensory intake for people attending. We dimmed the lights, we quieted the music, and we took communion differently.

Oftentimes, we may think God desires to destroy people; He's angry about people. But really, God is not wrathful against people. God is wrathful toward sin.

The gospel of Jesus was not a "winning" message for Paul in a culture who saw no honor in crucifixion, but the same gospel is what gave Paul confidence to be unashamed in sharing it.

Rome was a hard place to be a follower of Christ. Paul writes to the church with thanksgiving for their faith in the midst of it. ▪ Thanksgiving helps us remember the grace of God. Who can you express gratitude to for their faith in the midst of a challenging culture today?
