I FINALLY GOT A SHINY CHIMCHAR! LET'S FREAKING GO! It took 955 attempts, but all those resets ended up being worth it in the end. This is the first time I've gotten a Full Odds Shiny Starter. It will also be the last. LOL #PokemonBrilliantDiamond#NintendoSwitch
I went back and beat Mina the Hollower again after getting 100% item completion because I heard you get a different ending. It seems the only thing that changes is the Ghost Kitty family joins you on the trip home. Well, I am glad they're alright, at least.
I decided to go back and do some optional stuff. Then, I encountered this optional boss. The optional bosses in this game have been pretty cool. I had quite a bit of trouble defeating Evra, unlike most of them, though. Actually, I died to her more times than the final boss. LOL
I forgot to share this earlier, but I beat Mina the Hollower! Let's go! The final boss fight was challenging but fun. I died a few times, but that's to be expected at the end. The final dungeon I didn't like as much as the last one. Exploring the Manor was pretty cool, though.
The sixth dungeon has been cleared! Getting there was kinda tedious, but the dungeon itself was very creative and mostly fun. When I got to the boss, I expected a science experiment that went wrong. What I was not expecting was a third phase. Thankfully, it was short. LOL
The fifth dungeon has been cleared, the boss defeated, and the spark generator restored! This was a cool boss fight. I expected a train and got a ghost conductor controlling one. Or was the train a ghost as well? Well, anyway, there's 1 more dungeon to go.
The fourth dungeon boss has been defeated, and the spark generator restored! I wasn't sure if I'd get to the dungeon tonight since I got stuck on a minigame for 3 hours. LOL A longer session was needed. Anyway I like that this boss forced me to use some strategy to win.
I defeated the third dungeon boss, The Carved Man, last night. After being forced to run, it was nice to finally be able to do damage to him. I forgot to mention this before, but I like that red roses show up after you defeat a main boss. It's like heart containers in Zelda.
The second dungeon has been completed, and another spark generator is restored. It feels like I'm making pretty good progress. I think I've already found the third dungeon. If not, then I'm close. I'll come back to it on Sunday. This game continues to be challenging but fun.
The trailer for Mina the Hollower got me excited to play it. Plus, it's made by the people behind Shovel Knight, which is even better. I did a shorter session but was still able to finish the first dungeon before stopping. This is a very hard game, but I'm enjoying it so far.
A new expansion is coming tomorrow, so let's talk about Pulsing Aura. This was a fun expansion to complete. Picking just 4 cards to highlight was the hardest it's been in a while. The artwork is getting better, and there were so many cards that looked cool. #PokemonTCGPocket
I beat Ghost of Yotei! Let's go! The final battle with Saito was just as epic as I thought it'd be. Saito finally drew his katana for the final round. This game was very good. I did have issues with some controls and the combat at times, but I still had fun with it.
Takezo the Unrivaled has finally been defeated! Let's go! I tried to fight him earlier in the game but got destroyed. Even in the endgame, this fight was tough. It felt like the hardest in the game. Ironically, I beat him by spamming his own move the Dual Slash against him.
Usually, I prefer to fight the bosses in this game. However, since they clearly wanted me to use stealth, I just decided to assassinate Eagle Eye Kondo. Honestly, considering the game wanted me to kill his eagles, I don't feel bad about it. I have no respect for this guy.
The Kitsune has finally been defeated! Let's go! That's 3 of the Yotei Six down. It took the whole session just getting there. The story leading up to it was better than the previous two. Then, the fight itself forced me to switch weapons to counter, which was more interesting.
After clearing out all 5 of their hideouts, I battled the Nine Tails leader. It was a close battle only because I had to fight the enemies around him. Also, I wasn't sure which one was the boss. So I didn't know who to take out first. LOL
I wasn't expecting to fight Saito this early, considering he's most likely the final boss. Then again, you do get interrupted, so maybe this is a preview. If that's the case, then the actual fight with him at the end will be difficult but also awesome.
After facing off against his disciples, I was finally able to fight Takezo the Unrivaled. I wasn't expecting to learn a new technique during a boss fight, but it was pretty cool. Later on, I decided to attempt the rematch where he wasn't holding back. I couldn't beat him. LOL
I wasn't expecting the Altars of Reflection to be guarded now. The Irritating Ronin certainly lived up to his name. He switched weapons midway through, and his attack patterns took a few tries to figure out how to counter. Atsu's description is how I feel about him, too. LOL
It took the whole session, but I finally defeated The Oni. That's 2 of the Yotei Six down. This fight was harder than The Snake, for sure. His fire blade and longer sword made blocking and parrying difficult. I had to dodge more and tank some hits to win.
