i think the coach change where you can't talk during game makes sense, this is a standard practice across pretty much all esports and should not be a problem with people simply because past organizers were uncaring. the ability to spectate in game and then also communicate is a big problem as BS does not have a specific spectator client so it's done as an observer in the side not from your player's povs. you can callout approx bush positions even with 5 second delay, they should not be able to talk during game.

on the flipside i do not see the value in restricting devices on stage, there are thousands upon thousands of scrims and brawl as a game is inherently influenced by draft, there are no timeouts so making microadjustments about gameplay has never been the focus of coaches because it doesn't matter when you go next set since you'll be playing different maps and brawlers, there's a lot less macro strategy in that respect and forcing coaches to print out like a hundred pages of scrim data and notes makes zero sense to me. if coaches and/or analysts put more effort into creating good tools for them to use, they should be rewarded for doing so as it streamlines their ability to make educated draft decisions. with the sheer number of maps available you cannot prepare comps before the match anymore because of map draft so I think that this is a decision that is not great. spreadsheets have filters which is why they're useful. if BSC is saying that their one job is to help prep and draft, they should have access to actually utilize both premade notes and adjust their strategy on the fly without having to look through everything because they have to bring every map on stage given map draft. huge waste of paper too

some of the stuff about spectating cheating and whatever are valid but blast has shown consistently they are willing to take action against bad offenders. if they're screen peeking or using live data or any other form of cheating besides their pre-downloaded spreadsheet just dq them instead of taking away devices
