We’re excited to share that Refugee Week 2025 was a huge success!

It was a pleasure to attend the Hudson Road Primary schools summer picnic, and host an information table featuring samples of African snacks and drinks.

We had a successful start to our Womens Connecect session. It's great to see the ladies bring joy and laughter to our sessions. It's a great help to those that need to go somewhere to socialise and make new friends.

While the mothers are connecting, we have our youth sessions on. Don't worry about child care bring your children and get them enrolled into our youth sessions every Friday 4pm-7pm. Its great to see children come together and socialise and stay away from their gadgets for a bit.

New Horizon sunderland brings a new project: Cultural Heritage Preservation and Promotion for Black and Minoritised Communities in Sunderland.
This project aims to preserve, document, and celebrate the rich heritage of these communities and raise awareness.

We have a very happy client today. With the support from New Horizon she has been offered a house with Gentoo. We try our best to help and support whoever comes through our doors.

Our first interactive session for an African hub in Sunderland was a successful event. We had over 30 attendees. It was great to see interest in the community, and so many people come out and ready to socialise.
