"New Music Gathering is money-overwhelmed this year. We have this awesome lineup of amazing artists for NMG2023 in Portland in a couple of weeks, but a bunch of choices like making participation/attendance completely free, giving application thank-you money (opposite of application fee), and offering some travel support, means we're left in the money hole. We want to keep going (and pushing further) with these moves toward greater accessibility, but that comes with a price tag. We're trying to find new ways to pay that growing price, and need some help figuring it out."
