This week, we're highlighting our partnership with The Community FoodBank of New Jersey! Thanks to their generous Family Pack Program, Horizons Newark has been able to distribute boxes of food and fresh produce to families FOR FREE.

The beautiful space is also the perfect spot for some yoga and mindfulness practice. How awesome that students can experience this natural environment right in the middle of their home city! #6weeksofhappiness

Horizons #Newark has teamed up with Branch Brook Park Alliance to offer this summer's program on-location at the park. This week, students went on a nature walk to learn about native plants and animals and, of course, the park's famous cherry trees!

This year's virtual and in-person options combined with the supply packs is allowing Horizons to serve Newark students in a variety of circumstances. In fact, we are even able to provide the Horizons experience to students who traveled as far as Ghana to reuinte with family!

Our summer program begins in JUST. TWO. WEEKS! We can hardly contain our excitement! This summer will include the Horizons staples, like literacy, math, STEM, and health and wellness, with some fun new Newark partnerships for students to show love for the city they call home!

We're nearly one month away from the start of this year's summer program! Students and teachers got together safely outside yesterday for a pre-summer pizza party after a year of Horizons at Home. We can't wait to see the rest of the Horizons crew in July!
