Until the NFL acknowledges the exile of #ColinKaepernick, every decision labeled with the tag of “entertainment” feels like a smokescreen. via @TheUndefeated https://t.co/5GvmkzqHkV
Let’s speak an uncomfortable but honest truth: racism, sexism, anti-Semitism, homophobia, and transphobia are real in this country.

Today, @NAACP voted to move forward with a resolution to initiate @realDonaldTrump’s impeachment at the 110th #NAACPConvention. Trump’s misconduct is unmistakable and has proven time and time again, that he is unfit to serve as the president of this country. #WhenWeFightWeWin
On July 2, 1964 President Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act into law. We stand on the shoulders of giants as we celebrate those who worked so hard to perfect this union of ours and we honor them by continuing-today more than ever-the fight to protect and expand freedoms
"We must DISSENT from a nation that has buried its head in the sand, waiting in vain for the needs of its poor, its elderly, and its sick to disappear...
We must dissent from the poverty of vision and the absence of moral leadership."
~ Thurgood Marshall, born #otd in 1908.

If a parent locked their child in a cage without soap or toothpaste, they would be charged with child abuse.
If a parent were to put their 8 year-old in charge of caring for a toddler, they could be charged with child endangerment.
Then the parents could go to JAIL.

Pbs reconstruction series is a sterling example of why the amistad act should be more than a piece of paper but implemented in every school in New Jersey.
Sandy Hook happened 6 years ago and we can’t even get the Senate to hold a vote on universal background checks w/ #HR8.
Christchurch happened, and within days New Zealand acted to get weapons of war out of the consumer market.
This is what leadership looks like ⬇️
64% of Floridians voted to restore voting rights to those who had paid their debt to society. Republicans are trying to roll that back, ignoring the will of the people. Again. https://t.co/S84QqUR6u7
