We are a small Church in Wales school located in Newbridge-on-Wye, a village five miles north of Builth Wells in Powys.

Dosbarth Bedwen have been looking at Psalms. There are 150 chapters with wise words of advice, guidance and help in times of trouble. Pupils chose a verse and using inspiration from the world around them brought this to life. #spiritedarts @swanbreced

This week in their RVE sessions, pupils in Dosbarth Helygen have been learning about Jesus’ childhood using video clips and extracts from the bible. Children used PicCollage to record their existing knowledge and understanding of Jesus. @swanbreced #fourpurposes

We have been awarded our 8th Platinum Eco award! The Eco-officers were extremely impressed with the children's ideas and knowledge with officers stating ‘It was very clear that eco-schools is an ethos which is well and truly embedded within the school belief system’. #ecoschools

We have been presented with a tree from the “Tree of Trees” sculpture which stood outside Buckingham Palace for our work as part of The Queen’s Green Canopy initiative. We were nominated by The Lord Lieutenant of Powys and are one of only two organisations in Powys. #QGCanopy

Year 2 have been applying their numeracy skills to explore purchasing food for our wedding. They were able to count money to set their budget. They wrote lists and used the Tesco website to cost items. They then i#used coins and notes to show the costs #curriculumforwales
