It's Monday morning at 6:38am, and a truck is backing up into the @CubeSmart construction site in violation of NYC's "Noisy After-Hours Construction" laws. Why doesn't @NYPD114Pct enforce these laws? Now it is double-parked in front of my house. @nyc311

Another weekday, and my block has @CubeSmart and @StorageDeluxeNY to thank for being rudely awakened by their construction foreman having a loud argument in the middle of the street with a contractor. A clear violation of "After-Hours Construction."

I have filed another "Noisy After-Hours Construction Complaint" against @CubeSmart and @StorageDeluxeNY. We'll see if @nyc311 and NYS Department of Environmental Protection actually do anything.

@nyc311 @CubeSmart @NYPD114Pct I have filed a construction complaint. The problem is there's no accountability. The construction company blames the contractors, the contractors blame the construction company. Nothing changes. @CubeSmart knows how to play the game.

For almost a year, six days a week, the residents on my block have endured the non-stop noise and traffic problems related to @CubeSmart construction. They block in our cars and start work before 7am. @nyc311 and @NYPD114Pct are powerless to do anything, or just don't care.

It's a shame that @StorageDeluxeNY doesn't do any community outreach before it builds @CubeSmart facilities. They may be smart about cubes but they're not very smart about public relations.

@CubeSmart has been doing construction on my block in Astoria for almost a year. They never did any community outreach and they continue to block in cars, drive trucks against the traffic pattern, and generally disrupt the residents of my block six days a week.
