And last but not least: having kept their skills and catches sharp all term, W1 smashed their getting on race (almost overtaking the boat in front of them!) and will be racing against Queens W1 today!
The JUNE EIGHTS REGATTA starts tomorrow, so it’s time to introduce our novice crews! Though it’s been a difficult year, NCBC is thrilled to have still had such enthusiastic and wonderful novices this year. We have three novice crews this Easter term who’ve been training hard!
Alongside NW1, we also have two senior crews racing this week. Despite a slightly rocky start, W2 have perfected their roll-ups and are raring to go, racing LMBC W2 in the first race today! They have been coached by new coach Luke.
We're immensely proud of this crew on winning in such style, and claiming a second win in a row in the Lightweight Women's Boat Race for Cambridge.
Well rowed, Cambridge 👏🏆👏
#WeAreCambridge#fivefromfive
Happy International Women’s Day to all the incredible NCBC women, past and present, who over the past 150 years have done so much to promote women’s rowing in Cambridge! 💪💙💛
