Severn class had their first trip to the orchard. Inspired by Andy Goldsworthy and other artists who utilise nature - They worked together to build beautiful natural sculptures and photograph things they found.
Joshua class made boats out of tin foil and set their own gingerbread man off down the rapids. They then asked the question “crunchy or soggy?” Those children with crunchy biscuits were celebrated by their friends as it meant their boat let in no water!
Severn class were surprised when they found their classroom in a mess! Luckily the classroom Worry Monster had seen what had happened and gave a description of the monster that had done it. The pupils then set about writing to explain the mess to Mr Hayes! #writingforpleasure
Joshua class started their new PE topic, ‘Treasure Hunting’ with lots of ‘punchy finger’ fun!
Even Ms Rai, Miss Longworth and Mrs Kearn got covered in pegs!
Yesterday Tamar were surprised to find a real life Naughty Bus. The children were extremely excited and decided that they'd love to go on a journey around Newquay, rather than write in their books.

Please could Joshua class have any small cardboard items you may have put in recycling. Small cardboard boxes, tubes and egg boxes are perfect.
Lots of magical and marvelous things will be made!
Thanks so much in advance.
Joshua class had some special visitors yesterday! The class got to explore a fire engine, try on fire fighting equipment, and learn all about the special job fire fighters do in our community.
Then all the children got to hold the fire hose and feel the full force of the water!
Yesterday Severn class visited St Michael’s Church where they learnt all about forgiveness and saying sorry through the story of the ‘Prodigal Son’. The children were also given the chance to look around the church at things like the alter and font⛪️
Joshua class had a wonderful Friday at the orchard. They finished off last week's Math unit by demonstrating their knowledge of repeating patterns and comparing size.
Bugs were found, art galleries made in the trees and games were played with their friends.
For their writing lesson yesterday, Severn class worked in pairs to build boats. The pupils then looked at imperative verbs in order to write instructions and tell others how to build one.
