Celebrate James Joyce's Dublin with an evening of song, story, and Irish musical tradition in our intimate new concert series at @TheQuaysNewry. As Ensemble in Residence at Carlingford Heritage Centre, The Fews Ensemble presents Echoes and Inspirations — a four concert journey through music that draws on memory, faith, and imagination. Spanning the English pastoral tradition, the spiritual visions of Messiaen, the lush romanticism of Brahms and Schoenberg, and a new commission by Newry composer Amy Rooney, this series explores how composers transform experience and art into sound. Each concert offers a moment of reflection and wonder within the historic setting of Carlingford Heritage Centre.

We are thrilled to launch our May/June programme of concerts at the NCM Hub @TheQuaysNewry with a beautiful programme curated and performed by Mezzo Soprano Carolyn Dobbin. Together with pianist Tristan Russcher she will lead you through the evolution of Ulster Scots art songs from ancient airs to contemporary arrangements, with repertoire including My Love is like a Red, Red Rose, John Anderson, My Jo and The Blue Hills of Antrim. Performance Opportunity for Adult Musicians!!
Thursday 11th June at 7pm. Have you been thinking about dusting off your instrument or finding your voice again? NCM is delighted to invite adult instrumentalists and singers of any level to take part in our Adult Performance Platform at the NCM hub at @TheQuaysNewry.

Designed especially for adults who may not have played or sung in public since childhood, or for anyone who simply wants an opportunity to perform for an audience. This concert will be a fully supportive environment with a warm welcome, no pressure, and no expectation of perfection.

Participants who aren’t pianists will also have the benefit of performing with our amazing professional accompanist Danny O’Neill and pianists will have the use of our magnificent Kawai grand piano. Solos, duets or larger chamber music ensembles (up to 5 members due to space restrictions) are all welcome!

Philip Glass’s haunting and hypnotic Mishima and Greenwood’s terrifying There Will Be Blood make way for the shimmering impressionism of Ravel’s quartet and the iconic and thought provoking Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber. In partnership with @MusNetIrl, we’re delighted to present a brand new collaboration featuring two of the most exciting rising stars of the classical music world: accordionist extraordinaire Théo Ould and stellar soprano @AliLanger, coming to Warrenpoint Town Hall on 1st April.

For the second evening of our Piano Fest we celebrate one of the titans of music making in the 20th century, Leonard Bernstein, and his timeless compositions for choirs, soloists and orchestras.
