RENIS is a survey of kidney function in the general population measured as iohexol clearance. It is the only study of its kind with repeated GFR measurements.
After two years, the third round of iohexol-measurements in the RENIS cohort is now complete! The last participant was included in the Clinical Research Unit here at UNN today. Despite a delay because of the COVID, this has been a huge success with a high participation rate!
The paper "GFR in Healthy Aging" has now been published online at the JASN website. This paper is a result of collaboration between nephrologists in Berlin (Germany), Reykjavik (Iceland) and Tromso (Norway).
