WCAP News has learned that a vehicle registered to a prominent elected official in Lowell was involved in a serious crash on Mammoth Road in Pelham, NH just before 9pm tonight. Pelham Police is preparing a press release but it won't be available til morning.
The family, who was home at the time, reportedly escaped safely. The fire was declared out at 7:10pm. Our correspondent Mark Watson was on the scene and reported that firefighters were seen throwing debris out the attic window.
Lowell Fire made quick work of a single alarm attic fire in the 120 block of Lilley Ave just after 6:30 tonight. It appears that the blaze was contained to the attic of the house although the lower floors did experience smoke and water damage.
