It’s impossible to grow as a teacher, a principal, as an educator, or as a person, unless you are willing to change.
Growth requires change. It requires different ways of thinking, acting, and leading.
You cannot stay the same and succeed in a world that is not the same.

As I got out my classroom decorations and wondered what I should do,a little lump formed in my throat. Then I thought, I’m still decorating for my students! We will have a different December together but it’s still going to be FUN! I miss their faces❤️
Checking in: The possibility of in-person learning is too dangerous and stressful to consider. It’s just not safe or reasonable. However, remote learning, as it exists now, is unsustainable. It needs to be modified... now.
That being said, I AM STRUGGLING. What are you?
It may seem like all your efforts aren’t making a difference right now. You may question your ability to reach your students.
But you ARE making a difference beyond what you know. You keep trying. You keep making connections.
Be kind to yourself. You’re doing the impossible.
