スーパージャンプ地点が壁に触れていると、サブやアサリがすぐに投げられない（硬直が発生する）という仕様があります。おそらく飛んできた人はこの仕様で投げられなかったのだと思われます

飛び位置になる時は壁に触れない位置で潜伏するように心がけると、このような事故は未然に防げるかも

The bullet speed is the biggest issue by far. Even if you somehow manage to close the gap between you and your opponent, you still end up losing/trading half the time because the bullets take too long to connect.
