@hobdaydesign Swyping? Yeah typos are much harder and it's pretty accurate. Als it is muscle memory friendly which is the biggest feature of it that lead to its adoption I think
@hobdaydesign@adamsilverhq Ah interesting to look at the paper but also noticed this was a study done on Japan where beauty is also very strongly influenced in the culture and there may also be localisation/translation issues
@adamsilverhq Like there's pros and cons, it is quite interesting that it can actually mask usability issues which could lead you to missing them when trying to get feedback/test/review it. On the other hand the positive response can be necessary especially for complex interactions and systems
@adamsilverhq Like there's actual studied evidence for the phenomenon
I often refer to this UX law when I'm thinking about this on a design: https://t.co/hCQYcAEuF0
@round The closest I can find is via gameuidatabase searching for primary across hundreds of game titles: https://t.co/KMoocUAl3y
Which would be the icons defined on a game controller commonly used to indicate primary, secondary and tertiary interactions/actions
@round If it's not something that shows up clearly on https://t.co/SlV80N43gE then no, there are no universal symbols for those concepts. The closest would be just numbers 1, 2, 3 etc
@AutoCrossBow0@AndrewCurran_ Like about 60 years later? Even nuclear generators have like a 50 year red tape at most.
So many AI hype cycles that there is even a term invented for the collapse after: AI winter
The latest Complementary episode with @hobdaydesign covers elegance vs. extravagance in interface design. One takeaway I have is that reputation can play a part: strong design reputation = easier to get away with simple, elegant design?

@joelnet Reddit is closer to being an interest network than a social network. An interest network works based on what you are interested in than your social connections.
@FreyaHolmer I find it amazing that it was reinvented many times in mathematical systems and people were conflicted about the concept of nothingness and zero across civilisations and philosophies. That even year zero doesn't exist in the calendar system.
@chantastic Well yeah, Node.js stopped innovating / slowed down yet again. There were still aspects in security and performance that needed looking at, thus deno and bun
@cnakazawa@shshaw Hmm, see this article: https://t.co/2nKmnYmBK5
inline-flex affects the way the children behave which stop them from participating in the flow of the outer context since the children will follow a flex formatting context — which is different to an inline formatting context
