@AI_EmeraldApple but for real people should focus more on the animaton , how greats its been done , its quite an amazing quality and the work that has been done is quite good
even if not for everyone it deserves to be watched
@AI_EmeraldApple yeah i feel its also getting more attention cause of that cause for once we are getting the image of girl failure in something that isnt aesthetic like those we see online🤭i feel if it was a male it would be talked as much cause it will be the stereotype
This isn't the first time Yanineko "Chainsmoker Cat" was attacked. Back in 2023, there was a lot of online and targeted harassment against Nyannyan Factory, the creator of the story.
The harassment got so bad, including an attempt to "cancel" the manga, that Kodansha had to release a statement about it, WITH threats of legal action against the most malicious.
Some of the Japanese manga readers were so grossed out due to the visceral, raw, unromanticized addiction spiral + heavy grossout humor + zero pandering... that they engaged in that harassment campaign. This was mixed in with professional jealousy from other rival manga authors who felt it was disgusting that a manga like Yanineko became popular while "their" more "cultured" creation did not.
It's niche, it's weird, it's gross, and you don't have to like it, but it 100% has the right to exist.
And seriously... stop with the harassment campaign against it. It's just another rerun of the same BS from 2023 now in 2026.
@AI_EmeraldApple I feel its important to have some like those that try things and even if they know it will not be for everyone, they are doing what they want
thats how writing and any art should , freedom and a way to express yourself
Yondemasu yo, Azazel also used to be criticized in the past
@AI_EmeraldApple It's also genuinely funny in a way most manga/animes never dares to be Bibury gave this thing a cinematic opening that most "serious" shows would kill for.
The joke and the point at the same time.
Maximum craft, minimum dignity
It doesn't look like anything else this season🤭
That's the real story.
One band, fifteen years, carrying the same message through every generation of manga they've touched
love your craft, have fun, keep moving forward
@wasureranneyo were here long before this viral moment ♥️
The song Wasureranneeyo made for it captures exactly that energy, because it's the same energy the band has always lived by.

And they made music for Futsuu no Keionbu (Girls Meet Rock!) by @kuwahali and @675pixel
A story about ordinary girls chasing music with everything they have.
The small victories, the fun, the friendship, the mess of actually forming a band.
#FutsuunoKeionbu#wasureranneyo
do i even need to introduce @WANPOWANWAN's work?
One of the greatest boxing stories ever drawn, the search for what it means to surpass your limits, by someone who started from the bottom himself and pushed through every up and down with love for the sport and for his family.
He did it again with Nikaidou Jigoku Golf, following someone who always had the passion to go pro while age and expectations close in on him.
Nobody draws psychological pressure like Fukumoto, and that expressive style became iconic for a reason
Everyone discovered Wasureranneeyo this week because of the Chainsmoker Cat opening
But this band has been pouring their heart into anime for over a decade, and most of you never knew their name. let me fix that 🧵
@wasureranneyo@yani_neko1111#yanineko#chainsmokercat
@takenokomanga Really been loving those 3they are so refreshing and it changes from the usual ones that are made in that genre
With quite amazing style and so expressive♥️
Sayonara Lara's rendition of "The Little Mermaid" is hard to dislike with its timeless-feeling, vivid art style that captures both the bright whimsy and sinister darkness inherent to all fairytales. That much is evident in the manner in which the mermaid palace is depicted.
Unexpectedly fun debut from Iron Wok Jan! Incredibly chic paneling and lively animation for the cooking portions gives it an oomph you don't often see. Above all, was pleasantly surprised at that fourth wall break. It's basically a self promotion for no reason.
