“Man, this zone looks so cool. The monsters are kind of high level though. I’ll just stay on the road, I’ll be safe there.” Two seconds later:

@ChiroPlagueling Don't tempt me. I'm thinking about it, but WoW streams are usually more boring than death.

What I think is crazy about retail players asking for more QOL features and changes in Forever is that there are already a good amount of them implemeted. Built in quest helper, damage meter, UI editor, etc... More than Classic. One of the class changes I noticed immediately was that rogue energy recharges constantly instead of being tick based. That was a WotLK change. All of these and more and yet they still want more convenience features. Its ok to admit that something might not be for you.

It's actually insane reading things like this. WoW Forever was made with the intention of creating content that aligned with Classic's world and game design. Many of us stopped playing retail WoW because of these QoL changes and removal of friction that makes it "more fun" for you. We played Classic or Hardcore for a bit, but at this point we've done it all already. For 20 years. WoW Forever gives us the game design we want, the friction we want, the social areas we want, and then adds more of that. Camping? Hell yeah. A dungeon in Undercity? Hell yeah. A Paladin taunt but still no interrupt? Hell yeah. New quests and areas that expand the world horizontally instead of piling on top of it? Hell. Yeah. We're not being mean. You have a game that gives you everything you want. This is the game we've wanted for decades now. Stop trying to change it.

A good chunk of an average Fallout 1 and 2 playthrough is spent punching rats. It's great.
