If I were launching an NFT collection today, I'd choose Ethereum or Polygon, depending on the project’s goals.
Ethereum (Best for Premium & Established Market)
Pros:Largest and most liquid NFT market (OpenSea, Blur, etc.)
Strongest security and decentralization
Established brands and collectors
Cons:High gas fees
Scalability issues
Polygon (Best for Low-Cost & Mass Adoption)
Pros:Low transaction fees
Eco-friendly (PoS-based)
Partnerships with big brands (Disney, Reddit, Nike)
Cons:Less liquidity than Ethereum
Perceived as "cheaper" NFTs
Other Contenders
Solana (Fast & cheap but had reliability issues)
Bitcoin Ordinals (Unique but less mature for NFT use)
Arbitrum / Optimism (Ethereum Layer 2 with lower fees)
If I wanted premium, high-value NFTs → Ethereum
If I aimed for mass adoption, gaming, or utility NFTs → Polygon
