Nation Media Group is yet to explain to us how its journalist managed to establish that two oil tankers carrying fuel to Kenya had been struck by drones in the Strait of Hormuz, yet the newspaper could not provide the names of the vessels, their identification numbers or any independently verified maritime incident reports.

Al Jazeera, Reuters and other international media organisations have been following the conflict in the Middle East and the attacks on commercial shipping, but where is their independent confirmation of these two particular Kenya-bound tankers? Did Nation Media Group somehow acquire exclusive satellite intelligence that even the international news agencies and maritime security experts have not been able to establish?

The funniest part is that Nation based its dramatic story on claims made by EPRA Director-General Edward Kinyua before a parliamentary committee, apparently without establishing the identities of the ships supposedly immobilised thousands of kilometres away.

Surely a newspaper of Nation's standing understands that repeating what a government official told MPs is not the same thing as independently verifying that an incident actually occurred.

And to make matters even more interesting, the newspaper illustrated its story using a Reuters photograph of fuel tankers queuing at a depot in Nairobi, which tells readers absolutely nothing about the alleged drone strikes at sea. Surely somebody in that newsroom could have asked for the vessel names, shipping records, coordinates of the attacks and confirmation from the companies operating the tankers.

Nation Media Group, before frightening Kenyans with dramatic stories about disrupted fuel supplies, kindly show us the two ships and the independent evidence supporting the claims, because the Strait of Hormuz is an international shipping route, not some remote village where two enormous tankers can supposedly be attacked without leaving records that journalists can check.

I get that. I literally had no idea what was going on when I met thomas ogutu and dennis volemi. Thought “oh wow charles kerich with government support and ogutu’s uhuru is onboard.”
Then after a few weeks the first signs of the corruption. I thought damn not me but maybe it’s normal? I told them I never lie. In next meetings with former presidential families as potential investors they told me “just sit back and don’t say much, mostly confirm and praise.” What did you expect me to do? I literally thought that’s how all is run in Kenya as any and all elites I met were like that.
I also only post now because they cannot reach me. State of oppression.
Really really bad. I can be in probably 95% of the world’s countries and be fine.
Kenya is right now bottom of the barrel with a few other countries. But EXCELLENT at marketing, and conning the world and its citizens.
Now I know. Would I do it again? No. Would I speak up when I risk my life? No.
Do I know now the silent big majority in Kenya knows they’re oppressed by a cartel? Yes.
Are they tired? Yes, that’s cartel’s plan. Keep them oppressed and exhausted, so they won’t rebel or eat any election rigging.
Do I believe in Kenyans? Absolutely.

Today, 14 October 2026, the High Court at Nairobi declined to entertain an application by the Attorney-General seeking to suspend the hearing of a petition filed by Senator Okiya Omtatah and eight others.

The petition seeks accountability from former and current high-ranking public officials over Kenya’s crippling odious debts and the recovery of approximately KSh 9.5 trillion.

The Attorney-General had asked the Court to halt proceedings in the petition pending the outcome of an application by the Auditor-General at the Court of Appeal, which seeks to have the High Court petition dismissed unheard.

Instead, the High Court directed the Attorney-General to pursue the matter at the Court of Appeal.

It also ordered the petitioners to advertise their Amended Petition in the @NationAfrica and @StandardKenya newspapers within 14 days.

The parties were given 30 days from the date the advertisements appear to respond to the Amended Petition.

The Court then set the petition down for hearing on 3 and 4 March 2027.

I have seen the posts about Chivayo and weapons allegedly reaching Sudan RSF.

It’s an interesting story, but there are some details people are missing, even though we were told not to talk about this but we'll share.

First, the weapons were not necessarily going through Malawi as the main transit point.

The information we read points to two airlines:
-Zebu Air and Vise Air, with Malawian military figures, including General Phiri who was Chivayo's friend, reportedly linked to the operations.

Zebu Air is linked to Trans-Mage, which reportedly has Kenyan interests and owners. The aircraft mentioned and used include
-7Q-VXX,
-7Q-VAA
-7Q-VNN, alongside a Boeing 737-31BSF.

The alleged trick was to declare the weapons as destined for Malawi while they were in the UAE. But the cargo would reportedly end up in Ethiopia or Chad before reaching the RSF.

The Gold buyers get the gold, others get paid, and the RSF gets weapons.

Sudan is being destroyed by Africans in African countries, some as far as malawi. We will share some of these flights in replies.
