It was pleasant to host my brother — the Chief Electoral Commissioner Mr. Edmond Alpha and the @ECsalone team yesterday at the NCRA Headquarters. Partnership between the two institutions continue to grow stronger, as we work incredibly hard to deliver a credible, inclusive voter register for the 2028 elections. The marriage between the NCRA and ESCSL is one built for growth, not divorce and together, we’ll serve Sierra Leone better with every cycle.
Also very proud to have launched a Mobile ID service at Hegan Street Market. The NCRA is bringing its Civil Registration and ID Services directly to our hardworking market women so no one is left behind. The NIN continue to be key to accessing essential services such as health care, education, finance & more. We will continue to expand our services across all sectors to ensure that everyone’s included!
Today, I held a fruitful engagement with the revered sixteen Tribal Heads/Traditional Leaders in the Western Area to address increased access to ID services in their communities.
The outcome of the meeting was highly positive, as it charted a clear path for effective collaboration aimed at making life easier for all citizens. All 16 Tribal Heads committed themselves to collaborate with the NCRA to ensure their people access services provided by Government without any hindrance
Under the leadership of President Bio, the NCRA remains steadfast in its commitment to leaving no one behind and ensuring every citizen is firmly on board as we drive national progress and promoting legal identity for all
Observed Eid al-Adha today at the International Institute of Islamic College. This blessed day reminds us of the Prophet Ibrahim’s ultimate sacrifice and obedience to Allah. As a devote Muslim, I joined colleagues to celebrate faith, submission, and sharing with those in need.
We discussed strategies to expand ID services nationwide with support from our development partners.
I am proud to contribute to this initiative, as the NCRA remains committed and dedicated to ensuring that #NoOneIsLeftBehind
Last week, the NCRA responded to a request from executives representing three communities of people with special needs. Through President - @julius_maadabio guidance, we provided 120 free National IDs to members of these communities, ensuring access to essential services.
This morning, I was honored to host the Executive Secretary and Chairman of the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD). During our meeting, I was named an Honorary Ambassador to the Commission, recognizing our government’s commitment to inclusive services.
Earlier today, I signed an MOU with the @IOMSierraLeone to facilitate with access to IDs for returnees back home. Today’s partnership marks a significant step towards ensuring that every returnee have access to legal identity, and other essential social services.
The most American thing? 🤔 Maybe say the bald eagle eating a cheeseburger and at the same time watching a Fourth of July fireworks show in a pickup truck parked outside a Walmart? In here I guess you see - Freedom, food, and firepower 😃

At intersections of life are moments of pause and pondering. These moments help us to reflect and review our life’s journey. My visit recently to the graveside of my dear mother, Yei Amie Lumba Navo BIO, was one such moment.
Shortly before my scheduled public lecture at my Alma Mata, the American University in Washington DC, I made a stop at the Pleasant Valley Memorial Park – the final resting place of my beloved mother, who passed on 23 years ago in the US during the decade-long civil war in Sierra Leone.
Visiting her graveside has become a tradition for me over the years, as it allows me to share some mother-and-child moments, but this time, it was different. As I stood there transfixed in time, my whole life journey flashed through – from my cradle to full bloom.
Her ever-gentle voice was so clear, re-echoing those words that formed my mettle and fierce commitment to education. Her words provoked my unquenchable thirst for knowledge and my steadfast faith in the power of an unshackled mind. She instilled in me a brilliant and curious mind.
Her voice, a gentle whisper, always did say, "God and Education are the light that will guide your way." Though not educated herself, she helped me unfold through struggles and triumphs. She showed me the power that learning could yield.
Though she's gone, her spirit remains in the lessons she taught me, in life's gentle reins. I'll honour her memory in all that I do, for her love and her wisdom forever shines through.
🕊️Rest in Eternal Peace, Yei Amie.🕊️
