@walsha Agree with everything you say Allan. Until the very end. The NCAA is undeniably “an institution”. That doesn’t mean the NCAA should get a complete pass on anti trust. But isn’t there a compromise that can preserve, from fan level, an institution?
@walsha Shouldn’t someone also do a story about, despite the sky high expectations regarding the hiring of DFehr to soften or get rid of Gary’s triple hard cap, there were no significant financial gains made by the Players during his tenure. On the other hand, Don and Steve had huge gains
@dennis_geelen@AJH3133@AZadarski The owners and players really don’t make more money from another team. Except for expansion fees that is distributed amongst owners and more jobs for players (but players individually don’t make
More money).
@CJexie@walsha ALL Benefits, not just pensions, come out of the players pockets. The problem is that the Players have absolutely no negotiating leverage because they are unwilling to even consider striking or hanging tough in a lockout situation.
I suppose you are correct to an extent. But the more you compress schedule, the
More ticket inventory you have to sell per day. That said, TV calls the shots on scheduling. Also audience fatigue could be a factor with too compressed a schedule.
