I am sure by now, you understand why the president appointed him as the road minister?
He doesn’t joke with his job!
and does not entertain lackadaisical attitudes .

Pastor Mensah Otabil built his 5,000 capacity auditorium with discipline and focus. On Friday, the facility contained 1,568 graduates from the law school alongside their friends and families .
I don’t know how much he spent on the edifice, obviously he subjected his church treasury under strict scrutiny.
Any donations(tithes, offerings et al) collected were put into good use or else there would not be such a magnificent edifice to host the graduation ceremony.
I don’t think Pastor Mensa will allow any member of his church to embezzle funds belonging to his church or meant for any project. He will take them on!
I know how some pastors chase and report their church members to the police when they steal monies belonging to their church. No fa ma Nyame !
Some even go to the extent of imprisoning drivers that drive their church buses for stealing car batteries. Some beat up thieves caught stealing church https://t.co/4yLeagnA18 tells you how churches don’t even joke with their monies, properties and accounts department.
As a businessman/woman you see how you get frustrated and disappointed when your staff steals your 500 cedis. This is what is happening to the private company called the “Republic of Ghana” but you don’t care because of your political affiliations.
Imagine the National Cathedral was a private project of Pastor Mensa Otabil (ICGC) , I don’t think he and the elders of ICGC will allow the treasurer or the accountant to mismanage their funds, that person will sleep at the police cell till he returns the money or he will be process to court and jailed.
Unfortunately, we have a different mindset when it comes to the company called “Republic of Ghana” your friend ,family et al steals from it and we see nothing wrong.
Monies that can build schools, roads, hospitals and make the lives of a country of 35 million better, one person takes it home and we see nothing wrong because of our friendship, association and acquaintance.
In other jurisdictions, every dollar, euro and pound counts . You cannot take a dollar or pound without not being held accountable or punished. It serves as a deterrence. Psychologically, harsh punishments are aligned to embezzlement to deter potential offenders.
That’s the difference, the MINDSET and the reward you get when you steal which is PUNISHMENT.
That is how we see all the beautiful things in other jurisdictions, you dare not touch public money or else…
Let’s take “Republic of Ghana” as our private company and see how it will be in a decade ahead of us.
