Sometimes, changing the narrative starts with simply listening. ❤️
On World Suicide Prevention Day, we’re reminded that behind every smile is a story we may not know.
Listen. Reach out. Be there. A conversation can make a difference. 🫂

Happy New Month! 🌟
Welcome to September! 💚🌿
As we begin a new month, may it bring renewed strength, good health, new opportunities, and beautiful moments. May this month also remind us of the importance of caring for ourselves and looking out for one another.🫂
One of the patient in the ward is stuck
They have not been able to pay their bills even though they’ve accepted to be discharged
What touched me is the Patient’s son, I hope to have a son as devoted as him
Even though he doesn’t have money to pay for the bills, he having been caring for the man for weeks now
If you are lead to help this family please let me know in the comments so we can see what we can do for this family…
Thank you
Jennifer was 29.
Newly married. Biochemistry research PhD student. Bright, soft-spoken, the kind of girl who still carried her lab notebooks home and annotated them in different colours.
After a feisty nightly session, her husband felt the lump first. Just under the skin, upper outer quadrant of the left breast.
Hard. Painless. Fixed.
They went to the hospital the next morning.
The doctor saw it and sent them for investigations.
Mammogram. Ultrasound. Core biopsy. Immunohistochemistry.
Then the results came out.
A single hard nodule with poorly differentiated margins.
No ER. No PR. No HER2.
Triple negative breast cancer.
The diagnosis was clear: early stage.
No nodes clinically. Radical mastectomy + reconstruction was still curative. High chance of long-term survival if they moved fast.
Jennifer ran.
Not from the diagnosis. From the knife.
Her family surrounded her. “God will not allow this and we will pray.” “There are people who treat this with herbs and spiritual cleansing.” “Surgery will mutilate your breasts and you are too young.”
She listened and stayed home.
Six months of prayers, fasting, local interventions, and anointing oils rubbed into a growing mass.
Along the way, she got pregnant.
She went back to the hospital, the surgeon told her pregnancy will worsen the mass and advised termination of pregnancy and immediate commencement of chemotherapy.
She did not listen.
Her pregnancy progressed and so did the mass.
It grew so large, almost three times her right breast.
She had her baby along the way. She was happy.
But that happiness did not last long.
Because the mass ulcerated and then became gangrenous, foul-smelling, necrotic, with satellites around it. The skin broke down until half her chest wall was an open, weeping wound.
She couldn't breastfeed.
When she finally returned to the hospital, the CT showed lung, liver and bone metastasis.
Stage IV.
Incurable.
The oncologists still tried.
Two cycles of chemo. The wound never healed. She deteriorated. Septic.
Cachectic.
In pain that no amount of morphine could fully manage.
She died 10 days after the second cycle.
She died with her baby just 3 months old.
As we conclude World Breastfeeding Week and Rheumatic Fever & Rheumatic Heart Disease Awareness Week, we hope these conversations don't end here.
Keep supporting mothers. Keep encouraging breastfeeding. Don't ignore persistent sore throats. Keep spreading awareness.💚🤱❤️

“Would you donate blood?”
A simple question but the answer could mean the difference between waiting and surviving for someone in need
Today, ask yourself:Could my blood help save a life?
The person waiting for blood may not be a stranger for long, they could be someone you love.
