Love this series, I say its the perfect "Bite size 90s treat". While most will pick Cowboy Bebop as a gate way anime, Outlaw Star "TO ME" is a better example, just enough to showcase what anime could and would explore.

@GotenSon_4 @GamingNextDoor I mean, the JP sub does take a different take on Goku, even Toriyama himself says so. Not saying his voice is end all, but the fact you prefer a characterization of Goku than the original take.
Overall, your answer is valid, I'm just here poking around from both sides.

@GotenSon_4 @GamingNextDoor Than my question is does that dialogue make sense for that version of Goku? Because the Sub itself extend that scene in the manga. Which, is extra filler base on the original source.
I get if the sub directing is better, but over all, thats a different take from the manga
