DeShon Singleton at 6-3 205 was Dane Bruglers #15 safety over several that were drafted. 93% vert, 95% broad. 7.5 TFL in 2.5 years starting.

👀 Get To Know — UDFA S DeShon Singleton

DeShon Singleton may have slipped through the draft, but many evaluators believed he was a Day 3 talent with the tools to stick in the NFL. 🔥

After beginning his career at Hutchinson Community College, he transferred to Nebraska, where he became a three-year starter.

Over 42 career games with the Cornhuskers, he recorded:

🏈 163 tackles
💥 7.5 tackles for loss
🖐️ 11 pass breakups
🎯 3 interceptions

He saved his best for last, leading Nebraska in both interceptions (2) and passes defended (6) during his senior season.

At 6’3”, 210 pounds, Singleton brings the size and physicality Steve Spagnuolo covets at the safety position. He’s known as a willing tackler, can match up with bigger pass catchers, and has the versatility to contribute on special teams while competing for a roster spot.

He’s already turning heads in St. Joseph, too.

On Day 2 of Chiefs Training Camp, Singleton came away with a deep-ball interception during 7-on-7 drills—one of the top defensive plays of the day.

The safety room is crowded, but if Singleton keeps making plays like that, he’ll give the Chiefs’ coaching staff something to think about. 👀
