Students did an incredible job creating their Ramadan and Eid decor for the library, which added a beautiful sparkle to our space. We can't bring ourselves to take them down just yet! Ramadan Kareem and Eid Mubarak to everyone who observed and celebrated this year.
Both grade 5/6 classes loved the opportunity to read and ask questions about life as an MLA with @reneecable today! Students are eager to dive into the books that you gifted us! Thank you!
The Art of Clean Up intrigued and engaged all grades so much so that we had to create our own sorting activity! Students got creative and organized by colour, material, shape, and much more.
Did you see that a Mary Ann Shadd @canadapostcorp stamp was unveiled last week? You can read all about it and about her in the library!
Students who are interested in sending a letter and would like a stamp, come see Ms. Olivia!

Proud to stand with Minister of Education @nello4transcona & Minister @jmoses6 to make this important announcement.
Thank you @stgeorgeLRSD for having us!
We can't keep this book on the shelves! Students @niakwaLRSD have been passionate about learning ASL, and we in the library learn something new from each student who signs it out!

Most cranes were made out of recycled magazine pages, but some students found scrap paper to be their favourite medium. Those teeny tiny papers made some teeny tiny cranes.
For Remembrance Day last week, we read Faithful Elephants by Tomoko Tsuchiya Dykes. This led to meaningful discussions about how innocent beings suffer on all sides of war.
Middle years students then followed the @VeteransENG_CA peace crane instructions to create a display.
