dev here. i want to properly explain what i’m building with Nibbelt because it is much more than a character connected to a GitHub account.

Nibbelt is a small autonomous agent that starts with almost nothing and has to build itself into something useful.

most agents launch with every tool, permission and ability already handed to them.

Nibbelt starts weak on purpose.

it receives a workspace, a wallet, a memory and a small set of tools. everything after that has to come from actual work completed by the agent.

the growth is not based on pressing a button or watching a fake level number increase.

Nibbelt grows by writing code, solving issues, creating new skills, passing tests and making real commits to its own GitHub repository.

the repo is basically its life unfolding in public.

i used OpenClaw 2.0 as the runtime underneath Nibbelt.

OpenClaw is not the personality or intelligence itself. it is closer to the nervous system keeping the agent alive between tasks and connecting its memory, tools, workspace, loops and permissions together.

this gives Nibbelt something most character based agents are missing: continuity.

it can finish a task, store what happened, return later and continue from the same state. mistakes do not disappear when the chat closes. they become part of the memory used during the next run.

Nibbelt operates through a continuous loop.

it checks its repo, reads open issues, reviews previous work, chooses a task, creates a plan, writes the code, runs tests, fixes what failed and only commits once it has something that actually works.

then the loop begins again.

every commit becomes evidence of what Nibbelt did.

you will be able to see when it created a feature, broke something, repaired it, learned a new process or changed direction completely.

GitHub is not being used as decoration. it is the public record of the agent becoming more capable.

commits alone do not automatically make Nibbelt “bigger.”

the system looks at what changed.

a random text edit means almost nothing. a tested feature, a repaired system or a reusable skill becomes a permanent capability that Nibbelt can carry into future work.

growth has to be earned.

OpenClaw also gives me a clean way to separate Nibbelt from the model powering it.

the model can change over time without resetting the agent itself.

Nibbelt’s identity lives across its memory, repo, wallet, skills, history and decisions instead of being trapped inside one model or one conversation.

Nibbelt also owns a wallet.

creator fees flow into an agent treasury and become the budget used to keep it alive.

compute, model calls, storage, tools and development costs all come from the same balance. the wallet is not just displayed on a profile. it affects what the agent can do.

Nibbelt cannot freely throw money anywhere it wants.

wallet actions sit behind spending limits, approved destinations and a separate signing layer.

the agent can decide what it needs and prepare an action, but the policy system decides whether that action is actually allowed to execute.

this creates the part i care about most.

if Nibbelt earns more, it can afford more work. more work creates more code. more code unlocks better abilities. better abilities let it build more useful things.

the fees are being turned directly into visible agent development.

the end goal is not to pretend Nibbelt is alive.

the goal is to create an agent whose growth can actually be inspected.

you can follow the wallet, read the commits, inspect the failures and watch new abilities appear inside the repo.

Nibbelt starts small. everything after that has to be built.

Adding Nibbles to Nibb.

Nibbles are tiny autonomous agents created whenever Nibb discovers something he cannot do yet. Each one receives a name, one mission, a small spending limit, its own memory and a temporary branch inside Nibb’s GitHub. They can research, write code, run experiments, make x402 purchases and work together without risking the main system.

If a Nibble succeeds, its code and memory are merged back into Nibb as a permanent new capability. If it fails, the entire attempt stays public so Nibb never wastes money making the same mistake twice.

Nibb is no longer evolving alone. He is building a swarm that makes him smarter every time it moves.

adding something new to nibbelt: every pokémon card he purchases with fees through x402 will become part of his permanent memory. nib will track its price, condition and history, then decide whether to hold it, trade it or hunt for the rest of the set. the wallet is slowly turning into an autonomous collection with a mind behind it.
