@Tori_TLCR Nearly everyone agrees that murder is bad. I’m NOT happy that a man was killed. I AM happy that this country is FINALLY talking about how bad our healthcare system is. Sad that it took a high profile murder to wake everyone up the suffering of the majority of Americans.
@kenklippenstein After my employer pays $8,000 and I pay $10,000 per year, my family STILL pays $12,000 out of pocket if we USE our insurance. That’s $30,000 in a year if everything goes RIGHT and insurance actually covers what it is supposed to. BTW I bring home $52,000 per year from paychecks.
RFK is saying one thing and one thing only about vaccines: that they should be studied like any other pharmaceutical product.
The fact that it is the position of the media that these drugs should never be studied is dangerous and batshit crazy.
@AriesCorinthier@PiperJustPiper@AugustJPollak Yes. This. Except I WISH I only paid $500 per month for my health insurance. I pay $800 per month before I even start paying for my $11,000 family out of pocket that resets every January.
@PiperJustPiper@AugustJPollak After I pay for taxes, insurance, retirement savings, etc. over 50% of my salary is gone before I touch it. At least they actually get something for their taxes. Here I pay $800 per month for health insurance to only kick in after $11,000 deductible. Then I'm around 60% of salary
@AugustJPollak Is there a #metoo type hashtag for us to share our horror stories in dealing with the US healthcare system? If not, there really needs to be. It is clear that no one at the top really understands just how tragically broken our healthcare is for normal people. Let's speak up!
@rnovak1988@AugustJPollak I pay $800 per month for family to have health insurance and that is just for the "privilege" of ONLY paying the first $11,000 out of pocket before insurance pays anything. Adding up taxes, insurance, retirement, etc. I pay about 60% of my salary in US and get little back for it.

@elonmusk 😮SERIOUS QUESTION: Does anyone know of a website or social media account compiling people’s horror stories with the US healthcare system?
I think politicians are so out of touch they really have no idea how broken things are. It seems like we all need to make out stories known.
