“Research into better treatments has given me the greatest gift: more precious time with my loved ones. I’ve seen my daughter grow into a strong young woman and start university.”

A family history of breast cancer prompted Bami to have a preventative mastectomy to reduce her risk of developing the disease but, at 37, Bami was diagnosed with breast cancer. Luckily she began treatment quickly and had the surgery she needed.

Thanks to our research, the risk of Bami’s cancer returning has been lowered and she will finish treatment next year. We hope Bami and her daughter can enjoy many more special moments together ❤
