It’s funny. When she got the slide buff, I kept saying it was the most significant buff she got and no one else said anything about it. But it was such a huge buff.

But also, she needed it soooooo badly. Without it, she has ZERO threatening Low Attacks. Like if you blocked two crLPs, you could just start holding back because she couldn’t do anything about it. When Slide was -3 at point blank, you lost your turn on hit, so Sweep was the ONLY thing that rewarded you for punishing people trying to walk away from you. Being able to Slide and keep some offense was so needed, and it’s even 3f slower than Sweep. Is an 11f slide that is Punishable on block and always +1 on hit worse than crMK xx Drive Rush?

sMP and sHP had always had the same block stun since launch. So making Arc Step faster made both into Arc Step a Frame Trap, yeah. She had that in the betas and was removed at Launch. But she needed that buff as well because before if you saw her cancel into a Special from any button, you just mashed your 4f and she died. There was zero mixup. Her only Frame Traps were both -12 on block. She was no threat if you blocked her before that buff.

But I still think it’s funny that everyone hates her and says she’s so broken but no one ever puts her above mid in tier lists. And top players who have used her before never try to main her because they say she’s too weak.

She’s a massive knowledge check character. People tend to make her more powerful in their minds than she actually is.
