@DavidAhmanson@CHSommers @attorneygsb "crazy sjws". It's a term used to criticize views associated with liberal/left-leaning millennials, but it doesn't address what those views are or why they're wrong. You can't write people off as crazies and call them by mocking names without dismissing them.
@CHSommers @attorneygsb Everyone says they believe in kindness and freedom, but words mean different things to different people. We reject your definitions of kindness and freedom, your dismissal of our differences as crazy, and your open armed welcome. That is what it means for a generation to rebel.
@FoldableHuman I have a giant list of like 50 gods. One of them is an over-leveled illusionist who ascended by convincing everyone he had been a god all along and passing as one for years.
@KateVasey @benoonbenoon@willsommer Is it even misfortune? It's not like there are any accidents here. He wrote a bad book on purpose, sued somebody for not liking it, and refused help he was entitled to. Nothing even happened to him, he just threw a tantrum when he wasn't paid to insult people.
@MollyOstertag I've had players apologize to me for winning too hard. I've always been like "no no! That was GREAT! You earned this!" Some of my favorite moments in D&D are when it wrecks expectations from other media.
@MisteryQuene@detachment_red Yes cases of mistaken identity do exist and we can only know it's the same people when see it is the same people. None of that is specific to this situation and all of it is obvious, so why bring it up?
@Abstruse@FoldableHuman I have! I'm yet to play it, but mostly due to procrastination. It looks great. In the mean time I'm always tinkering with my own creations.
@Abstruse@FoldableHuman Not played 5e. I just really didn't want a new D&D when it came out, so I let it pass me by. I like 3 and 4 more for what they could have been at this point. Pathfinder's great but a lot more work than it needs to be. All are good.
@Abstruse@FoldableHuman I think it's a great shame that 4e got killed off like it did. I would have loved a 5th edition that was an actual new edition of the same game that was 4e.
@Abstruse@FoldableHuman And to be fair it did suck, and on many levels, just not for that badly or for that reason. Ironically one of its biggest failures was properly communicating how much it had in common with 3e.
@FoldableHuman Early 4e in general is characterized by that, IMO. The whole thing feels unfinished. From what I can tell most of the supposedly ideological changes people loved to hate it for are just the parts where something was missing or poorly implemented.
@JimSterling@SmartCant While I'd hate any "VS" format and you have covered why you disagree with the thrust of these videos, I would love to see them address any of your arguments. As it is, they seem to have the answers, but not the questions.
