We have not governed ourselves well 🇿🇲

The intention to get freedom and Political independence was to lead ourselves better.
Our challenges over the many years of this republic and what we are experiencing today must remind us that we have not honoured our forefathers correctly.
We are not as prosperous as we should have been 60 years after independence
We have made progress in certain areas but it is not enough (we have performed below average)
We can’t have motorists lining up for fuel at gas stations when prices are now cost reflective
Productivity in the agriculture, manufacturing and mining sectors is at its lowest because the energy sector is in a mess.
We can’t have residents asking which outlet has zns mealie meal in a country of 19 million people
Not everyone has access to clean water and sanitation services and this has been the case for many years.
The poor cannot get effective legal
representation because it is expensive to hire a lawyer and legal Aid is overwhelmed ( I have a motion coming up soon in parliament to address this problem )
We can spend the whole day apportioning blame or we can use today to reflect and re-orient our thinking and our strategies as a nation
Collectively Zambia needs to begin winning on all fronts
Compared to 1964, we have more educated citizens with enough lessons on what has failed to work in terms of governance
Our politics must be elevated to a new level ; the level that demands arguments on policies and programs that will transform the country .
Above all, we need to remain united despite our differences in thought .
Do not concern yourself with other people's success. Focus on your own.
Also, think big, stack your paper, but act small.
Will explain:
Don't get caught up in status games. The real flex is peace of mind knowing you have financial freedom.
Have a strategy, register a company, have a page website then build on it.
Find the first customer, spread the word, work from home no need for a fancy office for now, seek mentorship, learn from other entrepreneurs.
Be obsessed with your business, that’s how you grow. 🪡🧵

@powell_malak@Mwebantu "Muletekanya" why should we wait when it's clear that there is lacking order in some area of our arms control.... should we wait for it to reach an uncontrollable stage ?? And for a fact these are not the only cases we've seen in the news, for how long should we wait to judge??
@kangombe_Chris That ministry has competent people that are fully aware of the consequences of some decisions. Its strange that such is happening."corruption "🥲
